Schedule a consultation with a hand therapist
Schedule a consultation with a hand therapist
Before beginning treatment, you must meet with a physical therapist experienced in treating hand problems to discuss your specific needs and goals. During this consultation, the therapist will ask questions about your medical history, current symptoms, and any past or ongoing treatments you have received. They will also perform a physical examination of your hand, wrist, and forearm to assess your range of motion, strength, and function.
02. Second Step
Gather necessary medical documentation

Make sure to bring these documents to the consultation so the therapist can review them and create an appropriate treatment plan for you.
03. Third Step

Discuss treatment goals
It’s essential to discuss your goals during the consultation for the therapist to understand what you want to achieve through hand therapy. Ask any questions about the process and ensure that you feel confident in their ability to help you reach your desired outcome.
